Chambers Gallery Installation.

My friend Janet Lobberecht was working on an installation at the Chambers hotel gallery and she asked me paint graffiti on the wall… so she could paint over it.

Again and again. Five layers of graffiti and five of “the buff”.

Strange, fun, abstract, it’s all about the process, and hey, how often do you get to bomb a fancy downtown gallery, right?

Her work is pretty fresh too.

Chiang Mai Thai

I was recently commissioned to create a hand drawn map for Chiang Mai Thai resturant in Minneapolis.

A very fun project, and a really great outcome!

Check out the map here, and head over to Chiang for some Pad Thai.

Yum!

Dia de los Muertos…

The Dia de los Muertos installation at El Colegio:

I spent the month of October working with the students in Melissa B’s reading class creating an offrenda to the Black Panther Party for Self Defense.

They were reading ASSATA an inspirational auto biography by one of the Black Panthers toughest, most eloquent members. We researched more about the history and actions of the BPP and created an installation to honor their struggle.
